We didn’t have a chance to carve pumpkins this Halloween but my brother, Wayne, did! My brother is an Aggie, his girlfriend Layla is a Longhorn and Layla’s brother Derek is a um, what’s the mascot for Boston College? Haha, sorry Derek!
They carved pumpkins this Halloween of their colleges. They came out pretty good. My brother said it wasn’t as easy as it looks.

A friend, Amy Sanchez, sent me this link. Trinity University, a prestigious private university in San Antonio, competes in the NCAA Division III athletics. The Trinity Tiger football team played the Mississippi Millsaps this past Saturday, October 27th. Down 22-24, with only 2 minutes left in the game and on the 39 yard line, the Tigers managed to lateral the ball 15 times before scoring a touch down and winning the game 28-24. This unbelievable play is gaining national recognition and has been nominated for the Pontiac Game Changing Performance Award. Read the full story at Trinity’s Athletic website.
It is a must see video.
San Antonio’s very own Poker Superstar

The Jewish Community Center on the northwest side of San Antonio held their 3rd annual Texas Hold Em Tournament this past weekend. It was a big turn out with 90 participants all playing for the grand prize of a seat to the World Series of Poker MAIN EVENT, a value of $10,000. After 7 grueling hours of poker play, Mr. Eddie Guerrerro took the prize. Eddie is a Jefferson HS graduate, graduate of MIT and currently employed at AMD. Eddie happens to be a husband to my cousin, Claudette. She says,
Eddie LOVES to play poker he takes this competitive hobby very seriously.
I guess it has paid off. Good Job Eddie! We will root for you in Vegas.
He is scheduled to play next summer (late June/ early July). You can follow his success next year on the worldseriesofpoker.com.

As you know, I work at ServerBeach/PEER 1. We are a dedicated hosting, co-location and network provider. What does that mean? For those not familiar with web hosting, let me see if I can give an idea. Basically, we allow you to rent space on the internet. Just like you rent/own a house or an apartment, we allow you to rent/own space in a datacenter. These datacenters have a huge pipes that connect to a network that connects people all over the world, which you know as the internet. We host companies like YouTube, WordPress (where I got my blog app from), Dogster, MyBlogLog and many others. These companies serve many people on the internet so they need lots of space and power! We do that for them. When your website becomes popular, you need a company that is going to be able to grow with you. Here is a short clip to explain what it means when your website becomes popular and who you should call.
